PHONY SCANDALS? A Letter to Becky Garritson, True American Hero - And to You, America!

Dear Becky Gerritson,

Know this: We are with you. I applaud your courage for standing tall and telling the truth regarding the harassment you've received. Not many of us have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the feared Internal Revenue Service. You did. Thank you for that. You and all the others who joined you in testifying before Congress are true American heroes in my book.

If you agree with my views, feel free to share this message. I'm going to use this letter as a blog post since it addresses not only you, but every freedom loving American.

What we have now in the White House is an Administration seemingly bent on promoting divisiveness, jealousy, envy and a mindset of victimization. His efforts to divide us racially are unbelievably obvious. He's using race, income, accrued wealth and any available avenue in his efforts to divide us and bring about an "American Spring" (like the "Arab Spring" debacle we're still witnessing) in Egypt, Libya, Syria and other Mideastern countries.

The White House has lately found a new favorite in a long list of pet "catch phrases" to try and quell dissent with their disastrous policies while increasing dissent among and further dividing the left and the right, the white and the black, the rich and the poor, all of whom are also known as American Citizens. That new catch phrase: "Phony Scandals" comes directly on the heels of his totally unnecessary, racially divisive comments - "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon Martin" - in the recent Martin/Zimmerman tragedy. I'd imagine he'll likely use that tragedy to again go after gun rights as well as the "racial division" angle. Speaking of his apparent efforts to divide us along racial lines, do you remember his other quote about the Massachusetts cop, who he said "acted stupidly"? When proven to be doing his job correctly and according to police policy, the officer was used as a prop as Obama still tried to benefit politically with his silly "Beer Summit". By the way, I don't recall him apologizing to the police officer for his premature speech, which included the "stupid" remark.

The man who is (somehow) holding the office of President and his wrong-headed compatriots are the phonies. While they continue promoting policies which sound good with endless speeches in an attempt to hypnotize and divide the masses, Obamacare and other programs he has pushed through are, almost without exception, destroying this country you and I love a few million dollars at a time. What was it that the terrorists stated as their goal? They said they wanted to bleed us to death financially with a thousand paper cuts. Obama seems to be playing a similar game. Coincidence? Oh, sure. It must be.

This lame attempt to minimize and ridicule angry responses to the very real issues they call "phony scandals" are simply their attempt to divert our attention, to denigrate American citizens who want the truth about the very legitimate and disgusting policy scandals and crimes which are, of course, the direct fault of the White House and their appointees, certainly not you and not any other victim of the IRS, not Officer Brian Terry, who was murdered as a direct result of the Federal Government's fiasco dubbed Fast and Furious (in my opinion actually an effort to limit or end our rights to bear arms), not the AP and James Rosen, who were also victims of the Department of Justice in an attempt to reduce Freedom of Speech, and certainly not the fault of the four brave Americans murdered, nor the unknown numbers severely injured, in Benghazi, Libya. These murders and injuries were largely due to the failures of the Hillary Clinton's State Department, which again is under the direct supervision of the President of the United States.

Another of Obama's favorite words is "inequality". He also uses catch phrases such as "doing their fair share", "the wealthiest 1%", "spread the wealth" and many, many more. This is all an attempt to promote the attitude of victimization resulting in division, an attitude already held by too many.

In conclusion, everything I've written above seems to point to an evil, and, when considered clearly, a very obviously subversive, anti-American goal. That goal appears to be the destruction and demise of our once proud Democratic Republic, The UNITED States of America!

Why doesn't every thinking person see these things when they're happening right before our eyes?

One obvious reason appears to be that the mainstream news is being bought off in one way or another, and the network news is how most Americans receive their news of the day. To believe otherwise is to believe that every mainstream national media source is run by people without a lick of common sense or an ounce of anything close to average intelligence or journalistic integrity. If you and I can see through these issues, why can't they? Trust me; they can.

I could take a guess and then opine about the type of government these people would have replace this Democratic Republic we presently enjoy, but you can form your own opinions with the information you have available to you. You could use the internet and peruse a number of web sites. Weigh the facts after doing your own objective research. Only then can you honestly form your own objective and "informed" opinion. Please take the time to do so. To opine or vote without doing so is to be intellectually dishonest.

Your country's very survival may depend upon you.

God bless - and save - America.

Thank you.

Bounty on Zimmerman Damages Freedom

Hello Friends! The following is what prompted today's very controversial post:

http://www.mrconservative.com/2013/07/21540-black-panthers-offer-10000-reward-for-killing-george-zimmerman/

If you watched the video from that link, you'll see a member of the New Black Panther Party offering a reward for George Zimmerman. If I heard him correctly, I got the impression he meant "dead or alive". Hopefully, you'll understand my response and some other related opinions on the matter of the Zimmerman/Martin issue, certain attitudes and some dangerous misconceptions. Here we go :

I'm all for Civil Rights - for everyone, not only for Negroes. Yes. I said Negroes. The correct term for black people in many languages is Negroes when used as a noun,  the plural for "Negro".

Before I get into the red-hot and unreasonable hatred of that word "Negro" and its derivatives, allow me to say this on behalf of the tragedy of George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin. It's a shame that a young man, a 17 year old just beginning to learn about adulthood, had to lose his life, especially when it was so avoidable. First of all, George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch Captain, should have identified himself immediately upon the very first moment of suspicion. Why was Zimmerman suspicious? Probably for a few reasons: (1) The tall youngster Martin was walking slowly and aimlessly in the night rain without rain gear through a neighborhood which had experienced a recent overabundance of crime. (2) Martin was "looking about" and apparently looking into windows of homes in the area as he seemingly strolled aimlessly across private property, apparently in no hurry to actually reach a particular destination. (3) Martin was walking on the lawns, closer to homes than walking on the sidewalks would allow, enabling him to look inside homes as he passed. (4) Martin was wearing a "hoodie", very popular among the criminal crowd due to its effect of hiding the face and features of the person wearing it. So although it's true that Martin would likely appear suspicious to any reasonable person, George Zimmerman really should have identified himself as soon as possible. Partly due to this huge mistake, one young man is dead and another's life is ruined.

Now for the other major "should have" points: Upon initial possibility of a verbal exchange, Martin should have asked more than "You got a problem"? He might have said "I live near here. Just strolling to the house.". Instead, as soon as he initiated contact by asking Zimmerman "You got a problem?" he proceeded to jump Zimmerman, breaking Zimmerman's nose with one punch. He then proceeded to "beat down" on Zimmerman while Zimmerman was on his back in a very vulnerable position. Martin then proceeded to bash Zimmerman's head into the concrete sidewalk. There was a real possibility of Zimmerman suffering a fractured skull, and possibly death as a result of this pounding. Of course Zimmerman was afraid of losing his life. Tragically, Martin then reached for Zimmerman's gun when it momentarily became visible. Zimmerman reacted in order to protect his life. He shot and killed Trayvon Martin. The preceding is common knowledge which was all admitted as evidence in the recent Sanford, Florida trial. None of this had to go down the way it did. One young life is lost; another is ruined.

One reason things went so horribly wrong is the negative mindset of most Negroes. It's a mindset of victimization; the mindset of being hated by whites stemming from events such as slavery, which ended 150 years ago. The misconception is "We were mistreated from the days of slavery up until the days of Martin Luther King, Jr.!" That part is true. Since it happened in the past, too many Negroes expect the same in the present as well as in the future. It's a mindset which causes many Negroes to walk around anyone perceived to be Caucasian with a virtual chip on the shoulder and a menacing look. It's a defense mechanism. If you're a Caucasian, you've seen that look. Much too often, with such attitudes and menacing glares at others, the Negro often invites hostility by displaying hostility. The cycle continues.

Let's discuss a large part of this irrational attitude by dissecting one of the myths associated with the word Negro and its descendent, Nigger, which over time has erroneously come to be associated with the worst of insults. Although the word has become what it was incorrectly perceived to be, an insult, that didn't have to be that way, either. The error lies in the initial misunderstanding of the word and its meaning. It's simply a misconception, the sad result of pure ignorance of language and its history.

The word is originally from Greek and then Latin (nigr- or niger), used then as an adjective to describe the color of an object or person,  and has been adopted in many languages as a noun to describe a person or object which is, or is close to, black in color;  it wasn't considered a nasty or bad word until its mispronunciation in the American South, according to, of all things, The African American Registry. I want you to know I don't make this stuff up, so here's a link for you. NOTE: If you can't get to the site by clicking the link, just copy and paste the address in your browser's address bar:

 http://www.aaregistry.org/historic_events/view/nigger-word-brief-history -

In the second paragraph, that site expounds on the term "nigger" thusly:

" It is probable that nigger is a phonetic spelling of the White Southern mispronunciation of Negro."

So according to this well respected site used widely and primarily as a research tool for things especially pertinent and  relevant to the Negro people, the word was not originally used as a slur. The negative perception of Negroes caused today's somewhat universal (especially in America) perception of the negativity issue. That's just one example where everyone not black deferred to the perception of the few - the Negroes.

Now let's discuss the term most Negroes prefer to be called: "African-American". The Negro population of The United States of America, for the most part, were born in America and have never set foot on the continent of Africa, making them Americans, not "African-Americans". It's a divisive term, going against everything Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for and preached - equality, inclusion, assimilation, unity and a color-blind America.

If one wants the African identity in preference to the American identity, I'd suggest that person should go to an African country and apply for citizenship and renounce their American citizenship.

Otherwise, drop the false pretense. Let's get that out of the way first. That term, "African-American", is divisive, offensive and ridiculous to many, if not most true Africans, meaning people from a country on the Sub-Saharan continent of Africa. I learned that fact first hand from more than one African while traveling overseas.

This Negro of the "New Black Panther Party" in the video referenced above - calling for a bounty on the head of George Zimmerman - is a racist, violence-promoting criminal. There are laws against promoting violence, kidnapping and killing as well as violating one's Civil Rights, which is exactly what this man is doing in the video by offering a reward for Zimmerman's head.  He should be put back in the place from which he likely came - prison.

I, for one, am disgusted by such criminal behavior and its acceptance by the majority of lilly-livered Americans. I know many men and women of the black or negro color who are great people. This person is making these good people look bad. I'm also disgusted with "white guilt" and the practice by too many Caucasians of allowing such drivel to be shouted from the rooftops in the name of "political correctness"!

Man up, people! When you see or hear an injustice, expose it for what it is. This type of issue is just one more nail in the coffin of freedom in what was once a truly free country.

More to come...

Benghazi - Truth or Consequences?

This in regard to the needless loss of American lives in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012:

According to more than one source, there may well have been a very

hush-hush arms deal going on, sending arms from Libya to the

Syrian rebels by way of the Beghazi Consulate. That's reportedly why

there was a Turkish freighter anchored close by. Rumor has it that's

 why Ambassador

Stephens was at the consulate the night of September 11. He was

finalizing the deal.

The attack was because the Libyans got wind of

the deal and for whatever reason didn't like it. That's one reason

Obama and Clinton were so derelict in their duties. Keeping that

arms deal secret was more important to them than the lives of a few

Americans. Senator Rand Paul asked the former State dept.

Spokeswoman about that today and didn't get an answer, other than

"I'd be happy to discuss that with you privately, Senator".

A second

rumor was that there was to be a "staged kidnapping" of

Ambassador Stephens, who would later be traded for the Blind

Sheikh, making Obama appear to be a master at diplomacy right

before the election. When the 2 American Security Personnel

disregarded the order to stay put or "stand down", it infuriated the

terrorists who were supposed to stage the kidnapping, leading to

the all-out assault. In the end, Who knows why?

The sad point of it

all is that Americans in service to their country died needlessly.

The only thing remaining is to learn the truth of why that had to

happen, and exactly who was responsible.

Social Security Now Called a "Federal benefit" - Part 2 (finally!)

Sorry for the delay, folks, but my buddy Gary finally located the post I wanted to use. Here it is, with a big "Thank You" to Gary Reno, a Great American and a wonderful personal friend.

Just a reminder, Better pass this around, it's the
clearest presentation I have seen in quite some time.
Social Security check
Here we go.
JUST REALIZED THAT WITH REQUIRED AUTO DEPOSIT,

I NEVER GET TO SEE THE CHECK ....

ALERT EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

THIS AFFECTS ALL OF US.*

*Subject:*

SOCIAL SECURITY becomes FEDERAL BENEFIT CHECK

Have you noticed, the Social Security check is now referred to as a
"Federal Benefit Payment"?
I'll be part of the one percent to forward this. I am forwarding it
because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you.
Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it.
The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as

a Federal Benefit Payment.
This isn't a benefit it. It
is earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security, but our employers did too.
It totaled 15% of our income before taxes .
If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to $180,000 Invested in Social Security .
If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security( $375/month, including both you and your employers contributions) at a meager 1% Interest rate, compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you'd have
more than $1.3+ million dollars saved!
This is your personal investment .
Upon retirement, if you
took out only 3% per year , you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month .
That's almost three times more than today's average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration
(Google it - it's a fact).
And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)! I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts .
Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff ever did.
They took our money and
used it elsewhere.
They forgot (Knew) that it was OUR money they were taking.
They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them .
And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed .
And recently, they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer .
But is it our fault they misused our investments?
And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a benefit , as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.

Offered by John C. -

Just because they borrowed the money,
doesn't mean that our investments were a charity !
Let's take a stand .
We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare.
Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government .
Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going,
for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it.

*Then call it what it is:
Our Earned Retirement Income.

My thoughts: Whoever wrote this has a valid point. This is our money. It's a savings account; it should be drawing some interest - tax-free interest - and whatever we and our employers paid in, plus interest, should be available to us either as a lump sum, a monthly payment based upon the average lifespan for the age  and date of birth of the beneficiary or a lesser amount to be paid in lifelong monthly payments. We should also have the option of receiving a portion of the money in a lump sum and then small monthly payments, either to be paid in "X" number of years or until death. The point is that the choice of how we receive our money should be ours and ours alone! Instead it was set up as a Ponzi scheme. There are valid reasons such schemes are illegal - unless you happen to be the federal government! What do YOU think?

Freedom wasn't always so difficult to enjoy...

Those of You Born
1930 - 1979

At the end of this is a quote of the month by Jay Leno.. If you don't read anything else, Please Read what he Said.
Very well stated, Mr. Leno.
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!

First, we survived being born to mothers
Who smoked and/or drank while they were
Pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing,
Tuna from a can and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles,
Locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode
Our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads.

As infants & children,
We would ride in cars with no car seats,
No booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.

Riding in the back of a pick-up truck on a warm day
Was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon..
We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar.
And, we weren't overweight.
WHY?

Because we were always outside playing...that's why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day,
As long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And, we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps. And then ride them down the hill, only to find out We forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes
a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's and X-boxes.
There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable,
No video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's,
No cell phones, No personal computers, no Internet and the chat room was my sister's bedroom. WE HAD FRIENDS
And we went outside and found them
If they didn't find us first!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth
And there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt,
And the worms did not live in us Forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays,
Made up games with sticks and tennis balls and,
Although we were told it would happen,
We did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and maybe
Knocked on the door or rang the bell. Usually we just
Walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law
Was unheard of.
They actually sided with the law!

These are the generations which have produced some of the very best
Risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever. Soldiers, too.

The past 50 years Have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of them?
CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others
who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the
lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good .

While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house
with scissors, doesn't it ?

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
"With hurricanes, tornadoes, fires out of control,
mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms
tearing up the country from one end to another,
and with the threat of swine flu and terrorist attacks.
Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?''

Socail Security now called a "Federal Benefit" - Part 1

Social Security is a plan where you and your employer, on your behalf, make deposits on every payday to a federal retirement program, supposedly for your benefit.

The key is that the money paid by you and your employer into any Social Security fund (formerly called a lockbox, but I digress) in truth belongs only to you because you and your employer(s) paid into the fund for your benefit. It should be 100% your money that's deposited for your use at a designated age or circumstance. Of course, we all realize it really doesn't work this way.

Part of this money goes to pay premiums to an insurance policy on your behalf. That's a separate account from the retirement account, with monetary benefits to be paid in the event you become disabled and unable to hold a full-time job after paying into that account for a minimum of 40 quarters, or 10 years. In both cases, that's money you're counting on to be there when you need it.

It's much like your bank or Credit Union account; they also fund with your money for your use, except you can withdraw that at any time - no one else can use that money; only you. In both instances, the money is 100% your money. If anyone, a banker, an unemployed thief or any other person not named by you on your account somehow gains access to that bank account and withdraws some or all of your money, we call that theft or bank fraud. We arrest the perpetrator and imprison them. We also usually are awarded restitution to be paid by the thief. Yet when Congress raids your Social Security account for the purpose of funding some unrelated program, that's somehow deemed legal. Huh - What?

This is just a short explanation of what Social Security was designed and the way the program was explained when the U.S. government designed it and sold it to us. It would serve each depositor as a sort of rainy day emergency fund which we paid for and from which we would be the beneficiaries when we reached a certain age. The sale was closed and we bought into the Social Security Act back in 1935. So far, so good.

In later years, however, it appears our government began to see Social Security as *their* slush fund to be used for pet projects when other funds were unavailable. Starting in 1969 under President Lyndon Johnson, Social Security funds were included in what was then called the "Unified Budget". According to the federal government, specifically the Social Security Administration, in 1990 the practice ended, and the Social Security funds were returned to their own separate account. How much money was drained from the Social Security Trust Fund and used for other purposes during those 22 years? That answer has thus far managed to elude us.

Today on Facebook, I saw a post by a friend regarding this Social Security Trust Fund and how the government has now decided to describe it. That post will be cut and pasted as soon as I receive his permission to do so. Once that permission is received, I'll provide it on this blog for you to read. You can then form your own opinions. Please be sure to express those opinions in the comment section below!

Stay tuned...

Freedom is Work.

I decided to start this due to President Obama's habit of continually reducing our American freedoms with his end-run around Congress with "Executive Orders", leaving behind a trail of harmful and onerous regulations and laws, such as the Affordable Care Act, better known as ObamaCare!

At the same time, the Middle East is on fire, particularly in Syria and Egypt. In Syria, approximately 100,000 citizens have been killed in fighting between the government of President Assad and its opposition. In Egypt, following an open revolt by millions, a military coup gained control of the government, removing the Egyptian President, a member of the powerful Muslim Brotherhood, by force. According to reports, President Morsi is under house arrest. Obama has done little to address either issue. Remember, back when Obama took office in 2009, the first stop on his Middle East "Apology Tour" was Egypt. His display of weakness has emboldened all the terrorist groups in the region.

More on these and other issues will follow in the coming days and weeks. Follow this blog and keep up with the important issues of the day.

Thank you for visiting! Please feel free to leave your comments.
